The year is 2266. The Federation has begun its expansion into the untamed Carinae Traverse. The region has already proven host to a series of mysteries, but one has captivated the minds of Starfleet. What lies within the Carina Nebula? For weeks, vessels from parts unknown have been emerging from the nebula, seemingly having traveled impossible distances. Now, spurred to investigate the origins of a particularly dangerous new arrival, the Defiant and her crew have been tasked with entering the Carina Nebula and finding what lies within. But what they uncover may have the power to reshape the sector as they know it.
